Belt Test August 29, 2015
Hello Students, Family and Friends! On August 29, 2015, we had a belt test. At the conclusion of this test were the following promotions; six promoted to yellow belt, one to orange belt and two to blue belt. Each student performed extremely well proving their dedication and desire to be the best they can be!
Not only were they were tested on their new forms, defensive maneuvers, kempos, punches, and kicks, but they were also tested on all that they have each learned since white belt! All the kids showed proper form as well as great determination!

To earn a yellow belt each student had to show proficiency with:
Shaolin Defensive Maneuvers: DM#6
Forms: half-moon (forward and backwards) with the eight-point blocking system,
Punches: front two-knuckle, back two-knuckle, hammer fist, and thrust,
Kicks: front ball, front instep, and rising knee.
To earn an orange belt each student had to show proficiency with:
Shaolin Defensive Maneuvers: DM#6, #7, #3
Forms: #1 Pinan
Punches: Shuto, rising elbow, roundhouse elbow, and cross-hand hammer
Kicks: Back kick, roundhouse knee, side blade
Skills: Double and single slap out
Plus all white belt material
To earn a blue belt each student had to show proficiency with:
Shaolin Defensive Maneuvers: DM#6, #7, #3, #2, #5, #18, #8, #9, #12, #4
Forms: #1, #2 and #3 Pinan, #1 Kata
Punches: Claw to groin, leopard’s paw, inverted leopard’s paw
Kicks: reverse cresent, axe, rising front stomp, spin around back, roundhouse ball, roundhouse instep
plus all white, yellow and orange belt material
All students will learn more complex material as they continue their journey towards Black Belt,
